Zindzi who is that the youngest daughter of South Africa’s first democratically elected president Mandela and anti-apartheid activist Winnie Madikizela-Mandela died same day she was tested positive to the virus.

She died during a Johannesburg hospital earlier within the week at the age of 59.

Her son Zondwa Mandela said it had been unclear if the disease caused her death, however, he family is expecting the autopsy report.

“Simply by the virtue that there was a positive test, we are therefore obligated to function and work within the framework of the prevailing regulation related to such cases,” he said.

He is quoted as saying his mother are getting to be buried on Friday morning.

Zindzi was South Africa’s ambassador to Denmark.

She was born on December 23, 1960 in Soweto to Mandela and Winnie Mandela.
